What would you say are the most common critiques you hear of the play and/or mini-series. Do you think they're valid?

Oh don't get me wrong, I think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. I'm just curious to see what negative opinions people might have heard or picked up. All the better to refute them more effectively.

The depiction of Joe Pitt. I don't see the problem. He was a guy hiding his real sexuality and living in denial. That was so common in the 80's. He was Jewish, too.

Actually, Joe Pitt was Morman. Louis was Jewish.
