Filming/Production Details - The Twin Towers?

I was looking at the Wikipedia page for this movie, and it says that filming started in May 2002. Yet, the twin towers are visible in the scene when Joe and Harper talk on the roof of their building. I'm guessing that they were maybe put in digitally, but does anyone know for sure? Or maybe the filming details are incorrect. As we all know the towers fell in September of 2001.

They were digitally rendered in post-production. (Note the clouds and fog around them to require less detail in the shot).

Since the film takes place in 1985-1990, to NOT have them visible would have been a major error.
