When Charlize Theron is on the date with Edward Norton, and she repeats her father's quote ("I trust people. It's the devil inside them I don't trust."), does she mean to do this because Edward Norton is pissing her off by flirting with her too heavily? Or was this a complete accident?

After a century of instant gratification, I found self-discipline… challenging.
i think all the scenes with her and Norton are just unnecessary, i mean it would have made for a short and pointless movie, but she could have just shot Norton in the face, when she posed as the cable lady, and had a *beep* load of time to open up the safe in his house lol.
i get that wahlburgs character wanted to beat Norton, and out smart him. but seriously they could have just killed him and got what they needed.. they over complicated everything for the sake of the movie lol.

I'm sure Wahlburgs character says at the start he doesn't want guns involved. That's probably why he just doesn't shoot Nortons character. Plus all the security, both obvious and hidden that Norton would have been able to afford lol

im just saying the whole reason for that was to make everything more difficult than it had to be lol, for sake of the movie. He wanted to "outsmart" Norton, and i guess you cant out smart some one if they have a bullet in their face.
and lets just say they did shoot him in the face, all they really needed was to get her in her cable uniform, and the cable van. The security just let her in they didn't pat her down or anything she could easily have a silenced gun on her.
and then her and norton start talking a bit, he turns aound. (gun clicks) and she goes "you killed my father biitch!" and bang. then she cracks the safe, then drives out in cable van and gives the guard a wave a wink and a smile. and or shoots him in the face right after because now she has the taste for blood lol.
then just so the movie doesn't end there, they could have made her the bad guy, and have her try and shoot wahlburg in the face after revealing she has sucked and *beep* her way to the head of the crew, and throws him into ice water so he can drown and freeze in case the face shot missed lol. then it can just cut to the scene in max payne where he is on the drug that makes him see fire lol, and he just runs aroun shooting everyone. lol.
the good thing about my little edits, would be that we get to see charlize theron have 3 or 4 sex scenes lol.

Ha! Sounds like you've put a lot of effort into thinking all of that through. It would be a good idea, had this movie not been a re-make lol. If they made a completely different movie, and not called it Italian Job, it could've worked lol
