Did anyone but me see the episode of Macgyver in season one where he has to get out of Turkey and he and a bunch of Gypsies drive mini coopers out of the city real fast. They also drive through sewage tunnels just like in the Italian job and they mess with the traffic lights just like they do in The Italian Job. Granted I have not seen the original The Italian Job and do not know if Macgyver copied it form that but I feel that they stole that concept form the episode.
shareOh God how many times has this come up. Yes Paramount made Mcgyver as well as 'The Italian Job' and so they used clips from the Mini Cooper S getaway scene at the end of the 1969 original and best version of 'The Italian Job'.
Even someone not in the know (i.e. an insular Yank) should be able to see how fake it all looked.
I have heard that Mcgyver improved in later episodes though?
