CONFIRMED: There is no sequel. There never was.

Seth Green confirmed it while being interviewed by IGN. Says thanks to IMDB its been a myth going around for years.

Agreed. If there was going to be a sequel it would have been 2005 or 2006. At this point very few probably even remember the first movie.

While you were posting this message, I was writing a similar one asking anyone if anyone knew if The Brazilian Job was ever going to be made.

The article checks out like you said, but while I was looking something up for my post, I realized The Brazilian Job is also listed on Netflix (under the title The Italian Job 2 as well). On the Netflix site, the movie can even be saved to a queue, but that doesn't mean much. But they do provide a short plot, though I think it was the short text that was originally on IMDB.

Seriously, an IMDB myth? Maybe they planned on it, and it got shelved over and over like so many other movies.

The more likely of scenarios. Seriously, you can't have a cast like this and NOT be tempted to do a sequel.

a "Brazillian Job" costs an extra $50......at least

No, that's a common IMDB myth.
