Did Mashkov kill the guy at his workplace?

SPOILER ALERT:

After Steve kills Yevin, when his cousin Mashkov is trying to find out what happened, he winds up speaking to a man at his work place while the man is sitting in a golf cart. The guy relates that Skinny Pete had been asking around about the Balinese Dancer bricks, and that "he must have weighed about 400 pounds."

After this, the scene quickly cuts to the Russians hopping in their cars and speeding off.

But I always wondered, it sounds like you can hear the guy screaming or shouting or something, almost like they shoved him in a barrel or a box to shut him up, but it's off-screen so you can't tell. Is there any hint from scripts people may have found or DVD extras that Mashkov killed that guy for talking or for knowing too much, or did they leave him alive?

Not really plot-critical, but just always made me wonder.

LISTEN! ... Do you smell something?

I was wondering the same thing. Sounds like a question for Reddit.

I thought the presence of the bloody axe was enough to get Skinny Pete to talk - he then called Charlie to warn him about the Ukrainians. Apparently Charlie had talked with Mashkov sometime before they got to the train station to tell him about Steve.

I've always assumed he didn't, because basically he had no reason to. He's evil, but not psychotic.

Supermodels...spoiled stupid little stick figures mit poofy lips who sink only about zemselves.

I thought that Mashkov thanked him for the information.

I think they both had a mutually satisfying, interesting discussion.🐭
