Love Edna, hate the mom

Loved Edna. She's like Violet the Dowager Countess on Downton Abbey, you never know what she'll say next, but you love whatever it is.

On another note, could they have made the mom any more freakin annoying? She is domineering, nagging, annoying, know-it-all, and emasculating. And the voice is grating just like Freddy Kruger knives on metal.

She's my favorite character in the movie, no clue why people hate her. Maybe because they relate to Mr. Incredible? And no, I'm not a chick.

And "emasculating" for not wanting her husband in lethally dangerous action? Riiiiight.

It's hard not to love Edna. She's awesome. I never found Elastigirl annoying.

Uhhh...I guess you should try seeing things from her POV?

All she wants is to settle down and raise the family as normally as possible.

But Bob keeps @#$!ing all up because he can't seem to let go of his former lifestyle and focus on what's best for his wife and children.

Edna steals the movie. Not only does she make great outfits, but they breathe like egyptian cotton!

I also find it funny she seems to be able to beat up people twice her size. Be it her Security Guard, or Elastigirl!

I didn't even realize that Helen Parr was a disliked character. I thought she was awesome, and Holly Hunter did a great job voicing her.

I loved both Edna and Helen.

I can see Bob's POV. He has been a superhero most of his life and now he has to take orders from that twerp of a boss. It had to eat Bob alive. I don't know why he didn't just become a cop or a private detective because that more suited his talents then working in an office.

I love Edna too but Helen Parr (Elastigirl/Mrs Incredible) is my favourite so I can't agree on that part. If anything, I found Bob quite irritating. He was so selfish and self-absorbed.

I think the reason why people didn't like her was because she was realistic about things lol. If this was real life, most people would have behaved like her. But since this movie was fantasy and animation, they thought she was too negative.
