Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if he just kept on making movies out of sheer sadism. As I've often described him, he appears to be Ed Wood without a soul. His films are even worse than what Troma puts out, because at least when they make a film, you can tell they're having fun and they're doing it out of love for film. Misapplied love though it is, at least it is love. With Boll's work, however, I just get the sense that he really, really, REALLY hates people.

I doubt it. I checked his page, and he's got SIX movies in production right now, including sequels to Alone in the Dark and BloodRayne. Nothing can stop him now.

He has tried with Halo, Metal Gear Solid, Fear Effect and Warcraft and has FAILED (thank god). He actually got a hold of Blizzard Entertainment and said he would direct the Warcraft movie they said, "We will not sell the movie rights, not to you... especially not to you". With that said I don't think he will direct a Starcraft movie either. Which would just be Starship Troopers anyway (lol), but I would like to see it as a movie anyway.
BTW he can't just decide to make a video game into a movie, he has to buy the rights to the game from the gaming studio.

shareI heard Hideo Kojima personally broke into hysterical laughter when Boll contacted Konami about making a Metal Gear movie and was later quoted as saying he would see to it that Boll would never come anywhere near a feature film based on the Metal Gear series. Kojima is an avid movie buff and much of the inspiration for various characters and plot elements are borrowed from movies he watched.
