"Guys, check out this book. Looks pretty old, maybe it'll help us!"
I Just couldn't stop laughing when i heard this. Surely it was supposed to be some kind of joke cause that was so dumb. But then again Germans don't have a sense of humor.
The quote which absolutely knocked me for six is when they're onboard the ship, on their way to the island, and one of the guys is feeling really queasy from seasickness. He proceeds to throw up all over the blonde chick's face, and for some unfathomable reason she appears to yells out, "Ugh, my fanny!"
Now I understand that that word has different meanings in different places (in the States it means ass, whereas in England it refers to a woman's girly bits) but I've never known that word to mean your face in any country!! (Am I correct in reporting that that's what she said, or did I just mishear her? I should point out that I was so boggled by her exclamation that I did rewind it a couple of times just to make sure that I'd heard her correctly, and I'm pretty sure that it's what she says). Is it a German thing? A translation problem? Either way it's got to stand out as truly one of the film's most bizarre moments.
ha! to the guy above she says, "Fendi" not "Fanny". Fendi is a designer brand that makes handbags. I don't know what's worse...they fact you thought she said "Fanny" and went though different cultures to translate/rationalize or the fact that I'm a 30yr old male and know designer handbags brands.
