Will a new film save this franchise?
If a new house of the dead film was made and without uwe boll in it, will it be interesting to watch?

Being a fan of the series, there is indeed potential within the franchise to stay within the source material of the original games and make a great movie with that source material, whereas this "prequel" was just not a good idea.
If the rights were bought by a decent production studio, with a good set of writers to write the script, and not to mention casting actors and staying true to the main characters of the games and you could have a successful horror franchise rebooted and free from this Boll debacle.

According to this, HoTD grossed $90 million. Although I know it was popular on DVD, is this a real figure? Uwe Boll has stated "$50 million" in the past, but it looks like with that level of profitability, a second sequel is possible. (The second movie was more serious and started well but lacked a budget and script as it became cliche'd)
