When he asks her to help him decide which stationary to choose and she licks the envelopes and says "This one - it tastes better." He licks the envelopes himself to make sure. Did anyone think the way he licked the envelopes was hilarious? I did. LOL!

I find it funny how he licks the envelops too!!! His upper lip just goes up. I watched the movie with thw commentary and he said that is just the way it happens. He can't control it, it just happens.

The higher the quality of paper, the lower the acidity. By licking, Lucy determined which envelope had a lower acid content. It would require a very sensitve palate which Lucy seemed to have. It would be unusual for George to have one as sensitive as Lucy, but maybe that was part of the humor.
