The Best DVD Commentary

I literally have watched this movie with the commentary on more than with it off. I never realized how naturally funny Hugh Grant is, and how much he ad-libs. And the chemistry between Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant is great, you could really tell that they like each other. Some commentaries are dry and boring, but the one for this film is top notch. Hugh Grant should do one for every film he is in.

I do have to agree, i have seen this movie with the commentary and it is funny. Anyone with the DVD should take the time to watch the movie w/ the commentary

reply

Ditto. While I usually turn off the commentary after a few minutes, I sat through the entire film with the commentary on, very enjoyable.

I only listened in on some parts, but I think it wasn't my style. I mean, I guess I'm into those commentaries where the actors/actresses talk about what it was like to film this and that scene, but not really like how they got the background, and stuff like that. This commentary was really like something more professional.

I agree. Fantastic commentry. I can also recommend the deleted scenes. You can tell how much they both enjoy each other company. In a couple of scenes they are in genuine hysterics.

i actually have watched the movie with the commentary on more than once also i loved how sandy said that she begged hugh grant to do a movie with her

reply

i listen to the commentaries for anything but i still think the incredibles commentary is brilliant thats the one with the director and producer, but i love the fact that Sandy keeps pointing stuff out in the movie that the other two wouldnt necessarily mention. Like the day and night stuff and the Norah Jones and the girl with the cookies lol. XxX

(Im trying to see it from your point of view, but i can't seem to get my head that far up my arse!)

reply

I agree! I was just going to post the same thing. I really enjoyed the commentary. It was the perfect mix of being silly and giving cool info about the film. I wish I could find more commentaries like this one.

reply

The commentary is very good, hugh is also excellent in the Love Actually commentary especially in Colin Firths scenes and when his phone rings.

reply

Try the "Miss Congeniality" commentary with Sandy & writer Marc Lawrence. Almost as funny as the movie!

reply

and the funniest bloopers with Hugh Grant, "wanker" lol.

I'll give him 20 more minutes-and that's it!- Airplane!
