Did Nick specifically request them or was ABC just feeling extra PC than usual?

If I recall correctly, he specifically wanted to meet Jubilee on Bachelor in Paradise. Maybe he likes dark skinned girls.

In any case, it would be good if they are being more inclusive of minorities on this show.

Jubilee was really excited when he was announced as the bach, and she tweeted about him being open minded or something like that. I'm guessing he did request it or at the very least told them that he didn't have a lot of preferences when it came to casting.

Yes, that will discourage people from watching the show. It worked really well to point out to people that Donald Trump was a racist.
