The old guy knew...

Like the title states, the old guy sitting out in front of the diner was definitely there when everything happened so many years ago. Watch his exprsssions verrrrrry closely, you can tell he's got secrets. The whole while I was like "GAH!! Talk to the old dude! He knows everything!". But that could have spoiled the movie though. Just my opinion.

I agree. I was thinking "beat the old man until he confesses everything." Especially after they get back from the town, and the Dad runs out to use the phone. I hoped he was going to teah that old boy a lesson.

That could have put a neat twist on it too. Just the same, a pretty good movie for its budget & plot outline.

DAMN same thoughts here. Its amazing how many people have the same idea watching the same movie, indeed.

If the old man knew of something weird beat it out of him. Nuff said.

And where the heck did he go in the end?

I knew when I first watched this movie.

he was also smirking as the family returns back to the diner in their dirtied SUV,
because he knew he was about to be released from his purgatory
