Theories on how Nora, Tim and Evan are connected to the first one?

So since the others were all connected to the first final destination movie in some way, (like Rory in Paris for example), what are your theories for the others?

I know it's not connected to the first FD film but FD5, but for Evan, maybe he could've been on the way to the same bar where Nathan was killed by the plane debris from Flight 180 but stopped somewhere to get his lottery ticket, avoiding being killed at the bar. When Carter drives like a maniac Nora and Tim are walking home from a movie and would've been run over and killed by him but are shoved out of the way at the last second by a good samaritan.

No offense, but you're doing it backwards. They can't have been meant to have been killed by things that killed previous survivors, and then saved by random things/people - that would simply mean they weren't meant to die then.

They need to have been destined to die from something unconnected with the previous survivors, and the survivors deaths stopped them getting to where they needed to be to die.

Let's go with your idea of Nathan's death connecting with Evan; let's say Evan is in the same area as the bar, but is supposed to be going to some other location. Evan hears that part of a plane crahsed into a bar, and goes to check it out, but by doing so he is late for whatever it was he wanted to do that night. He finds out that something happened in that location, say a fire broke out for example, and if he had arrived on time, he would have died in the fire - Nathan's death saved him.

Well, no one is really connected to Tod. Kimberly says she was watching the news about Tod's death, but she wasn't really connected to him like the others who actually had some physical connection to the others (Eugene to Ms. Lewton, Kat to Terry, etc.)... Tod died alone, without anyone interrumpting anything, so it's still a mystery how one of the characters that died early is connected to him.

I really have no idea how Nora could be connected to the teens on the first film, maybe because of her work or something, or Tim maybe attended to the same high school than them... I can't think of something that would connect a mother and a son to high schoolers.

If Tod had never died, there wouldn't have been a news report about him, so Kimberly wouldn't have watched it. Also, she says she didn't think the report made sense, because she didn't buy into the theory that he committed suicide (which he hadn't) so she probably stayed behind so she could see the whole story so she could make sense of it, rather than go outside where she was supposed to get shot or something.

The only one that may not make that much sense is Eugene, because unless I'm missing something he would have been transferred as Ms Lewton's replacement if she had died in Flight 180 anyway wouldn't he? So he would never have been around to be stabbed anyway. I'm not the first to spot this plothole, if that's what it is.

Well said! Educate him!

With Eugene, yes, someone would have taken Ms. Lewton's position anyway, but that would have been a month earlier. Not a stretch to say the original replacement may have no longer been available opening Eugene up for the transfer.

As for Evan/Tim/Nora/everyone else on Route 23, no one was really affected by Alex/Clear's near death. Maybe someone would have died in the lightning storm but Death had to focus the strikes where they were. Carter's driving fit could have thrown someone off-schedule. The streets for Tod and Mrs. Lewton's houses could have been closed down preventing someone from their destination. Lots of possibilities.
