Question About the Death Order

In the car when Eugene starts talking about how he cheated death before, Clear mentions that death is working backwards to "tie up all the loose ends." Kimberly was supposed to be the first to die because of watching the news report on Tod. In the first movie, the order of the deaths after the plane exploded went Tod, Terry, Ms. Lewton, etc. If Terry was the second to die in the first movie, shouldn't have Kat (or whatever her name is...the woman who smokes and told the firefighter to quiet down that machine), shouldn't she have been the second one to die and not Evan? Who was Evan connected to in the first movie? If Eugene was connected to Ms. Lewton, then he should have died third, not Tim followed by his mother. Who were Tim and Nora connected to?

The order of how they died in Kimberly's premonition was reversed. The reason that it was reversed was because they once cheated death, due to the deaths of people that were supposed to have died a different way, ie a plane explosion. It wasn't supposed to match up with the exact order of the people that died in Final Destination. I hope that helped with the confusion. 
