Anyone else have a problem with the game automatically pausing?

Hi
I've recently got Jak 1, 2 and 3. Jak 1 and 3 both automatically pause every 20-30 minutes. Hit the start button and all okay (not lost any progress). Only two games ever came across that do this, just wondering is it a common problem?

Have you tried using a different controller? My old ps2 controller used to do that all the time, but since I've changed em it's been a breeze.
