I'm just confused. Is this a sequel to something? I mean, the title indicates that it would be a sequel to an original movie, "Cradle," but I've looked and looked, and there doesn't seem to be a movie called, "Cradle." So, is this a sequel, and if not, then why the "2" which would automatically indicate that it is a sequel?

I honestly think it's just a title the writer(s) thought was "cool". I think that's as far as it goes.
Though, there's some fan speculation that it's an unofficial sequel to Romeo Must Die, as it also starred D.M.X. with Jet Li (along with a couple others), so it's possible that if that speculation is correct, the "2" could be hinting at it.
I personally stick with the creators being dipsticks who think arbitrary substitutions of numbers for letters is "cool", though.
Oh, I see. Well, I'll have to keep that in mind for my writing, and remember NOT to do that to people, lol. It really is a bit obnoxious to do.

Personally I think they made it like that because of the saying from the cradle to the grave. But they put it in as a 2 to make the younger demographic want to watch it. That's my opinion though.
