I know this HAD to have been asked ( but why not again )

Just saw Cabin Fever on Showtime again . Why in the Blue Blazes would what's her name shave her legs in the bathtub scene if she was already infected?

Also, after what's his name tries to kill what's her name in the shed... why on earth would what's his name think pouring gas on her and settiing her on her fire was a better alternative than using the shovel again? What's her name is suffering enough, so wouldn't what's his name come up with a less painful , more merciful killing?

reply

Whoops , what's his name made grammatical errors. The movie dumbed me.

You're mixed up. He only sets her on fire in the remake. This page is for the original.

reply

I swore that was the original! Do they basically have the same exact plot ? This one on Showtine had a blonde woman sheriff

reply

Yeah, that's the remake. The sheriff in this one is a guy ("the party man").

And yes, the remake was notoriously based off the exact same script as the original. Though in reality, there were some minor changes made, especially to the death scenes. That's why I know you're talking about the wrong movie when you say Karen was set on fire. It never happened in the original.

correct in the original, he hit her on head with flat side shovel once, she was still alive. so he just started repeatedly hitting her with shovel, while bloodsplatters on him and all kinds of awful noise.
In the remake, he like 'stabs' her in mouth with shovel (i guess to behead her) but she was still alive. so instead of whacking her over the head, he set her on fire...

How is being set on fire more merciful than being bludgeoned to death with a shovel? Both outcomes sound awful. But being set on fire doesn't seem like it would be merciful at all.

Please explain that logic to me. Lol

reply

yes. why shave legs there? Seems a waste of precious time. Legs probably didn't need shaving either.
