Why is there no soundtrack???

Hi

I love I Capture The Castle.
One of the best things about it or rather one of the things that helps make it so good is the music.
I love the music from that era and the background music is just beautiful.
If I'm not wrong it is done by the same man who did the music for the new P&P (movie), which I also love the music of.

Is anyone else as annoyed as me that there is not a soundtrack?

I'm beyond annoyed by the lack of sountrack! The thing that is absoloutely infuriating is in the scene where Rose and Simon first kiss, the song that plays is my cellphone ring tune. I can't find it anywhere else and it's a bloody nuisance.

I know what you mean. I can't remember the song that you are refering to but I like the song that is on the record when Cassandra and Simon are sitting down, and then the song when they are dancing "You and the Music and The Night".

And I just love the general score to the movie. When it first starts and you can see the candle flickering, the music just starts slowly it is just beautiful. I also like "The Very Thought of You". Let's just face it, I love every single piece of music in it.

It is one of my favourite movies. Every time I have watched it so far I have cried. It is so brilliantly acted too. (Romola Garai and Bill Nighy - two actors I really admire)
I love the part when she goes to see her dad in the old tower and they talk about his writing and her mother (his first wife), it's like the first time when they really speak to each other, really deeply.

There are so many soundtracks out that I would never want to buy - but if this soundtrack was realised I would buy it in an instant.

I guess we can only hope.

I've found out what the song is called when they are sitting at the table. The first song that Simon shows Cassandra, and she says "It's beautiful. It makes me think of Dover beach."

It's called Claire De Lune.

I love that piece of music!

I have just been previewing it on itunes.

I also love the soundtrack, and wish I could find it somewhere. I just read about how the score of "Half Light" was put on i-tunes because of an online petition....I would say that it's worth a try...

I sent an email to the company that got "Half Light" on i-tunes, and they said that they were big fans of "castle's" composer, so they would definitely look into it.

its a start!
