It makes more sense in the book. In the primary chapter, she describes her family members, then states that she's "captured" them. Like, she's captured their essences in her diary for preservation. So, the title is a summary of what happens in the entirety of the book. She captures the castle.
You could think of it as a shortened form of "in which i capture the castle" if that would make the tense easier for you.
