I didn't like this film but the book looks pretty good, i would read it but is the ending the same? I want to read a novel with surprises, not a story I already know. Thanks

Its been awhile, but I remember the booking ending being very much like the movie's ending.
I liked the book and read it before seeing the movie. But, I think I like the movie even better because of Romala, probably.
One big difference between book & movie is that Cassandra is supposed to be much more childlike, so that it doesn't occur to Simon to consider her as a love interest at all. The book also shows him developing a warm brotherly affection towards Cassandra. These things combined make the open ended way they leave things of let's KIT and see how we feel about each other later, a lot easier to stomach than in the movie.
shareIn the book, they all turn into pink, puffy dragons at the end and fly away....so it's a bit different in that respect.
