Underrated? More like overrated.
I almost never write comments about movies but seriously...
Firstly the story which is quite absurd. The remaking of the scenes, getting on the island to train as a profiler... Yeah I know its quite the main point of the movie but surely working on a real scene with a real profiler would do better for them.
The deaths... where do I even begin. The first one... There surely wasn't one possible spot where unconvincing Slater could stand. Secondly there would be a solid chance the cannister won't break. If you ever saw one you would have known that the chance of the valve to break on impact (when standing still) is minimum. Since the cannister is round it could have rolled either way, thus not killing Slater. Not even mentioning that the "great minds" of the agents did not think that a baby radio playing on purpose and located on a creepy crime scene could be booby trapped (not lethat ofc as it is training).
All the other deaths are equally far fetched but I just do not have the willingness to describe them. Same for the order of the victims. (Only a "leader" turns of the radio, only the "engineer" knows how to close a valve)
I am not a rocket scientist but in my opinion the behaviour of the characters, their actions, lack of logical thinking etc is a bit of an insult to the viewer. With a little more effort the whole thing could look a lot better.
The last scene (crime scene secure) was so cheesy I needed a slice of bread to go with it.
4/10.
English is not my main language so sorry for any mistakes that might have occurred.
P.S If you know of any GOOD thriller/crime/mystery/drama genre movies that are hidden out there don't forget to mention them in the posts ; ]
