clues- spoilers

besides the coffee scene being a clue (Lucas was in a different room so he didn't drink it), and the "it was you who said you turned off the water," when they find the puppeteer person and he's on tv speaking to the killer, there is a reflection of the killer behind him

reply

I knew he did it when they were talking about the killers obsession with time when they showed him watching his watch constantly.

Very cliched movie with extremely dumb characters (prospects for the FBI my ass), but it was still enjoyable.

Haha, I had a feeling there were meant to be little clues like that. Then again, when I saw his reflection on the TV just before he killed Val Kilmer I just figured it was an unintentional goof and that the actor (not the character) was just standing in the background watching some real acting :)

Nobody KNEW who the killer was until the final reel, you guessed it but you didn't know for sure. Sure there were clues such as Lucas didn't drink the coffee but what about the guy in the wheelchair??? Just before JD died it showed him in his wheelchair tapping his foot, he was supposed to be paralyzed!!!

reply

Though JD was paraplegic, the stress of the situation probably caused his foot to move involuntarily.

The coffee scene red-flagged Jonny Lee Miller to me. Since we saw everyone else drinking coffee, but never him, it seemed to point to him. At least it made me suspicious of him. And the longer he lasted, the more suspicious I got.

I love to love my Lisa.

Why are people pussy footing around the problem here. There were several really severe flat out mistakes in the movie. And it wasn't JD who was supposed be paraplegic, but Vince.

reply

When the screen turns to snow you can still see his reflection, so it was just the characters reflection

reply

Another thing that could be said to be a clue is that in many movies and shows the person that turns out to be the killer mentions their parents being dead.

The strangled cat was all the proof I need. They show the corpse just right after we see a bunch of felines annoying the crap out of Lucas (psychopaths don't play nice with animals) during a montage designed to let us know a bit more about the characters (JD and Nicole's relationship, what-his-name fixing a lightbulb, etc.). It seemed so out of place, it click right there for me.
