What do you Think...?

The first Two Friday's brought to screen some truely Funny and interesting characters. Some that could be your neighbors and others that might cause you to relocate. The third installment delivers the same type of humor and characters back to the screen headed by Ice Cube.

How do you think this movie rates compared to the previous (2 films) and should there be a fourth..?

First off,the first one from 1995 was not only a laugh out loud riot, but a classic which starred Chris Tucker. In the next installment,it had some funny moments, but to me it was very lamed since the setting was in the suburbs instead of the hood where Ice Cube goes up against his nemesis Debo from the first film, and the third one that came out today is just it about on the same formula from the second one but this one is terribly awful. I'm like what is Ice Cube thinking here? He must have been pushing for time constraints to get this picture done since some of the acting is so ghettoish here and so disfunctional with the supply of characters, and as for actor Mike Epps who plays Day-Day,here is a message to ya.......YOU ARE NO CHRIS TUCKER!!!! He is annoying as a comparison to Jar-Jar Binks with the equalvalent to lets say "Bat-Mite"?

Hold up here,no Debo? Where is Tiny Lester from the first two films? Its like James Bond without Blofeld. And what happened to Nina Long from the first one?

If they do a another installment to Fridays or Fridays IV,lets hope that Ice Cube brings back Chris Tucker. Do we miss Smoky? I do,and we KNOW THIS MAN!

Let me know what you think?

The first film was only funny because of Chris Tucker. Even so, it was more pathetic than hilarious. I personally didn't find the use of violence and drugs funny in these movies. In other movies it can be hilarious if executed well, but I can't say much for the Friday series.

The subsequent film, Next Friday, was completely terrible and unamusing. Let's not forget to mention the absence of Tucker.

Overall, these movies are retarded and the comedy / jokes are in bad taste and not even close to comical. I found the movie "Pootie Tang" to be funnier than this.

You look up to me even though I'm shorter than you.

I agree, Sometimes to much is two movies more then there should be.
I think it is highly recommended for those who like this kind of comedy. Otherwise, you might want to spend your money on something else. "Pootie Tang" was funnier as was "Booty Call". Sometimes movies have the right mix to offset bad taste and/or crude humor.. but after the first Friday.. the mix went bland.

Of course, The "Friday After Next" film has not been viewed by me yet, but I will probably catch it at the Dollar theater. But until that time, I can't slam it and I won't. But if it's not better then the second one, there should not be a fourth.

I liked this one more than the second one. However done are as good as the first. I really HATE everything that Chris Tucker has done other than the first Friday. I do hope if they do other one he would do it.
However the feel of the first movie is gone. The first one looked like, like people i know, and hang with. The others all have model girls and seem fake. However as for the 3rd one. I laughed a lot more than I did with the second one. Its not award winning but I had a good time and that is what the movie is for.

Waaaaait a minute Orac. You didn't think Money talks was completly hilarious. What about Jackie Brown and Dead Presidents? They were mad good. I understand he was loud and annoying in the first Rush hour but the second one wasn't bad. Anyway he's been on tour lately and that is what he does best.
And to comment on the movies, the second wasn't as bad as people say granted the Spanish brothers were kind of annoying but Chico, Pinky and Uncle Elroy were hilarious. It was different then the first but was still hilarious. But people expected another Friday and were disappointed.
The third was better than the second not as good as the first. Granted they shoulda brought Deebo and Tiny back but Money Mike and Damon made a hilariously great duo. The BBQ store idea and the Donut owner were ingenious.
There should be a fourth film because what they need is for all the characters to be in it. Everyone from minor characters like Big Worm and the Rey to the big name sidekicks Day-Day and Smokey.

hold up friday was a funny film chris tucker was brilliant in it but since hes found megastardom in the Rush Hour films I dont think we will see reprise his role as smokey again in any future friday films I could be wrong (I hope I am!) but I think he(chris) feels he gone up a higher level and now that hes earning mega bucks he might see it as going a step down as for Mike Epps I genuinely think hes funny man hes doing his best but if people try to compare him with smokey from the first film its not fair on him id say this film is funny in places esp when his charachter Day Day gos a bit power hungry and mad with the whistle (the scene with the women on the corner singing is class)its a LOT BETTER than Next Friday which quite frankly was a let down and not very funny at all

Ice Cube first made a movie about life in the ghetto, but he wasen't gonna do another Boyz N The Hood, he was doing a comedy.
And people want more, so he make Next Friday, Chris Tucker is replaced by another sidekick, Mike Epps playing the stupid cousin Day-Day, Mike Epps does a great job, he is funny in a very annoying way which is what he was supposed to.
But people still come up to Ice Cube wanting another Friday movie, so Cube sits down and think how he can make another Friday without making the same Friday as the two others, thats why he came up with the christmas theme, taking very annoying things which would ruin christmas for everybody else and he makes them funny!

If he made another Friday with Smokey i'm afraid it would just be the same Friday as the first, cuz Day-Day contain more personality than Smokey does
