The tree grew in only one year?

Hi all,

I was just wondering if someone could explain about the tree scene. Unless I am remembering it wrong the old guy (future Gyeon-woo) said that a year ago the tree was hit by lighting and that a guy planted a new one so a special person would not be sad. So how can the tree be a full grown tree in only one year?

I think he said "planted the tree" so I guess they could mean it was not simply a seed, but planting a fully grown, 15-20ft tall tree with roots seems a bit difficult for one person.

It's a fairy-tale ending. I don't think the logistics matter much.

I took is as being the nice guy the entire life: he spent great deal of money replacing the dead tree with a full grown almost exact size and looks of the tree. This shows the how romantic guy this is. Man I love this movie.

It's possible if you have other people helping you out, tools and a truck. A lot more impressive feats have been achieved in this world.
