What was the ending?

This movie premiered on UK television last night but due to a combination of it being late and shockingly rubbish, I couldn't stay awake for the ending. I fell asleep around about the time when Peppe tried to rape (or whatever) madonna and in the end they got it on anyway. So what happens after?
This wovie could have been a good re-make and I did like the scene where Peppe is fantasing about Madonna singing to him in the yellow dress (she looked good). But overall it was quite dire.

Omg i watched it last night too, and i actually felt like crying at the end of the movie because it was SO BAD! i mean the film wasn't ALL that bad, and the acting was good, but the ending was just like "...WHAT!?!?!" Well basically they fall in love and then he has to know whether she truly loves him so he signals to a boat thats passing, and she doesn't want him to coz she wants to stay with him, but he gets them rescued and then they go back to the boat. Then she goes back to her husband and they go to a hotel. Then they phone each other, and she tells him to leave a message at the desk for her, to tell her what to do and she'll do it. Then to cut a long story short he writes the note, gives the hotel receptionist it, and she is about to giv it to her but the husband comes in, then madonna goes to get dressed and the husband sees the note and reads it. O and the fisherman guy bought a ring to put in the envelope. And then madonna and her husband go to the helicopter to leave. And shes crying because she didnt get a message, and then the husband gives her the envelope with some money to giv to the person who helped them with their bags, and then the guy sees the note and where the fisherman guy is, so he goes to the fisherman and gives hjim the envelope. (which is basically the one he left for madonna) and then he opens it and sees the ring, and the guy hu gave it too him said it was from the woman because she gave it too him, so he thought she rejected him and then goes running after the helicopter crying his eyes out and shouting after madonna, all angry and stuff, then madonna is crying her eyes out inside the helicopter, and then he throws the ring into the water, and it has a close up of the ring going down in thee wtarer...then the credits roll. i mean WHAT KIND OF AN ENDING IS THAT PEOPLE?!?!
anywho this was an essay sorry but yea, thats the ending.

Thanks v much. What a "dramatic" ending. How long were they on the deserted island for? (I found their survival quite unbelievable - the hut, candles, pillows!)

they were on the island for 1 month- just saw it today in german television, and it was said there.

this was one of the worst movie endings ever.

It's the same ending in the original so it's not Madonna's fault as everybody would like it...

Haha, I watched this too. Was just reading about it in July ish of Empire. I got as far as her leaving the note, and switched over to Dragon (the bruce lee story).
