Okay, but the music...

Admittedly disappointing for a Guy Ritchie film, but there's something about the music that makes this movie memorable. The score is well crafted and placed, and without it the movie would be absolutely forgettable.

That said, I first took note of this movie, I guess, when they started to fall in love and a song came on while they were in the water. A woman was singing something about wanting to hold something from the inside....

The first time I saw this movie, this song made me take notice. The second time it got me searching the web. Now I have to watch it a third time to find out what song it was in the credits. It isn't on the soundtrack; does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Thanks.

Good call - the movie sucked, but the music was good. I'm pretty sure you're refering to Mazzy Star and the song is called Fade Into You (off of her So Tonight That I might See album). It's funny I actually looked that one up as well because I thought it was a really beautiful song. Hope that helps.

Of course, I love the MAZZY STAR song... but it is a very popular song... GUY RICHTIE used Stone Roses' FOOLS GOLD in LOCK STOCK.

The great thing about the music of SWEPT AWAY is that piano score with the orchestra in the background. It is so simple but very effective.

yes-great piano score------anyone know what it is??

The piano song at the end is called "Spiegel im Spiegel", which means "mirror on mirror". It was written by Avro Part. Tough song to find, but if you search CDnow.com or Amazon.com, you might find it there. The entire piece is a little over 10 minutes long and really doesn't change its tempo at all. Beautiful piece of music though...for what I think is an undeserving film.

I agree, the music does actually go with the movie.............sort of planned out for it, and yes, Mazzy Stars song on it is gorgeous, it playing with the images, just like Speigal one, show how much time goes by and how close they become and get on.

its great!

I think you need to watch the movie a few times and then you will see it is funny and Madonna does look great.
