Okay I just caught the episode about Sharon becoming a vegetarian(sp). Alot of the show, which I like, was basically not a new idea except that Sharon was vegatarian. The bullies were stupid. I have have vegan friends and they still go to bar-b-qs.

This. They actually handled her being a vegetarian (Not vegan, vegans are different but I don't doubt that one day in Sharon's life that she would become a vegan honestly) very well.
shareUm, she's not a vegan. A vegan is someone who doesn't consume ANYTHING that comes from animals, which includes milk products. She's a vegetarian. Big difference.
And I personally think there's nothing wrong with a vegetarian being on the show. I'm not vegetarian myself, but all views should be represented.
i hate it when ppl confuse them. i think vegans must b insulted also, because they do have different morals than vegetarians.

shareIf you have to kill the animal in order to obtain the product, vegetarians won't eat it (of course, there are some people who call themselves vegetarian who are less strict than the definition).
If you don't have to kill the animal to obtain the product (milk, eggs, wool, honey, etc) then vegans avoid it.
