Turk's apology to dr miller- worst moment of the series

They made this character cave in and apologize to that swine of a vile woman dr. Miller. This is when I realised this show is no different than any other show that is used as a tool to push Feminazi dogma. It was redicilous.

reply

I was expecting her to be sent to that sexual harassment class with the others.

Worst episode is season 1 ep 11 babbling about "Jesus" ffs

reply

No, worse ep is S1E10, wherein we learn that an RN apparently never went to college, where she belittles a med student in front of patients, shoves said med student aside because she's too impatient to allow him to LEARN how to do a procedure (which, being a student, is what he's there for) and then way oversteps Her boundaries by chewing out the resident in charge of him for being too harsh to him, and we're supposed to think HE'S that bad guy for resenting all that.

No, no wait - S6E21 wherein, after hiding the baby from JD she suddenly pops back into his life unannounced and demands that he profess his undying love for her. He rightfully and wisely decides it's unfair and dishonest to give her false hope so he informs her he sees no future with her beyond the bond the child forces. All his friends turn on HIM because apparently he was supposed to lie to her instead.

reply

I agree with you on your points, but I also agree with the OP. Turk didn't have to apologize. He was sticking up for Dr. Miller and then she was telling him that he is the worst kind of guy. Turk was respectful. I hate that moment when he apologizes. I'm glad Dr. Miller wasn't there long.

I completely agree with you on both counts. And JD wasn't even a med student, he was a full-fledged doctor. And I could never swallow the whole "never went to college" thing. How on earth can you be a practicing nurse without going to college and having a nursing degree? What a massively stupid oversight on the writers' part.

And yeah, Kim was the WORST. What an awful person, in so many ways. She proved herself to be completely self-centered from day one.

reply

Couple of possibilities there.

1: Carla may mean she did not go to a true college; she may have gone to a community college and got her 2 year degree in nursing, which would make her an RN.

2: I don't think this still happens, but used to, hospitals trained nurses themselves. Some still do that for specialty positions. Moses Cone Hospital, for example, has a "nurse academy" that will train RN's to be ER, ICU or surgical nurses, all without going to a college.

Whores will have their trinkets.

A community college isn't a true college? Okay.....

reply

at first it put all that female psycho crazy on full display, then it got wimpy

reply

Trying to figure out what redicilous means? Were you referring to ridiculous?

By far not the worst moment of the series. Also, he should have apologized why should he have to assume that Dr. Miller cannot stick up for herself? She called Turk out for it and he got what was coming to him. The fact of the matter he shouldn't have ever made any assumptions and for that he owed Dr. Miller an apology.

Doctor Miller was awful, the worst kind of feminist. She gives women a bad name. You can be a cool, competent, professional woman who proves yourself to be better than the guys who surround you without being a nasty beyotch to every person you come across! I liked the med student who was Turk's protege and briefly dated Dr. Cox, because she knew how to deal with stupid, arrogant surgeons neatly and beautifully. The way she burned The Todd was so hilarious and well-done! Also, the hiding the baby thing - there are NO words for how angry J.D. should have been about that! How dare his friends make excuses for that dreadful woman?! She told him that his baby DIED!!!! What kind of crass, horrible person does something like that?!! I don't want to hear any excuses about how pregnancy made her crazy - there is simply no excuse for such vile behavior. This show had several low points, but his friends expecting J.D. to forgive that woman for what she did was the lowest of the low.

What about JD apologizing to Elliot after she had sex with him and literally jumped into the arms of her boyfriend moments later? JD had a right to be upset and had the right to tell her boyfriend, but apparently he was wrong for reasons that were never made clear. She wanted to cheat on her boyfriend with no consequences and he needed to apologize for not liking that idea.

The thing that makes me cringe about all of these God awful moments is they all feature horrible women! much as I love this show, the female characters all pretty much suck to varying degrees. The show runner has no clue how to write believable, likable female characters who don't make you want to punch them all the time for being awful. Even his bitchy characters are simply TOO bitchy; to the point of repulsive instead of anybody you'd root for as a strong woman.

It's Miller Time.

reply

Yeah, that scene was gross. Imagaine if the genders were reversed in that situation too. Elliot and JD were both pretty awful people at times.

Get on the scale son! Get off the scale.
