I WAS alive at the time, and I honestly don't remember that much publicity, or talk about a serial killer... before Bundy was caught.

The serial killers who got massive headlines were the ones who sent taunting letters to the police, like the Zodiac, or who killed celebrities like Andrew Cunanan did.
