I don't see why people hate on these movies

I mean, look at what's the top of the box office right now: Fool's Gold. Terrible movies make money all the time, yet the ones that bomb, they get made fun of.

This is because most people can't actually make their own mind up what they think of a movie, they have to hear what the general public/critics say before they decide their opinion. Look at Transformers. That was just a bad movie, yet people will say it was good because it was popular. If Transformers bombed people would say it was a horrible piece of shyte.

One way or another, you identify yourself with the action and it´s characters, or do´nt. You must think you fit with the action to like it, so if you feel too fat, lazy or slow minded to match, then all you can do is hate this movie and revolt into your armchair.I was rised at a mountain town close to the Andes, watched the Kandahar of Los Andes contest, saw actual avalanches and knew their very young, highly skilled and healthy victims. So to me the main filming is already a higher, almost unreachable match; and actors and characters highly stimulating and their roles trully meaningfull. And the main character, the mountain, is in this film absolutely superb.
