The Cook - not addicted?

I was surprised that The Cook seemed to be totally in control of himself and level-headed and meth didn't seem to take a major toll on his life, compared to the other characters in the film who were constantly seen taking meth.

To my knowledge, The Cook is only seen tweaking once in the film, in the porn shop. However, during the film The Cook tells Ross that he once stayed up "about 11, 12 or 13 days" on meth. I also recall Nikki suggesting they try "the new batch" and mentioning he "gets his rocks off now and then".

Was he hooked or was he just an occasional tweaker?

a cook gets high just by cooking it... the fumes. also, and it's hard to see cause it happens so fast but the cook does a 'bump' in the strip club just before brittany murphy's character strips. Will De Los Santos writer/producer 'Spun'

Oh, I didn't notice that. Also, very nice to hear from the person behind Spun - a personal favourite I have rewatched a bunch of times! It is a shame that it hasn't gotten more recognition, I would have really loved to see a sequel (or a prequel, as someone suggested) to find out more about the characters and more movies which truly capture the feeling of methamphetamine.

i've written both the sequel and prequel already... just in a slow pattern of development. but, one of them or both of them will happen sooner or later. Will De Los Santos

I can't wait to see both!

He was older. Maybe he had used more when he was younger and now uses less?

Oh oops. Hadn't see the replies yet

He's DEFINITELY on it. But he handles it way better. Though it messes with his mind too (e.g: accidently blowing up the lab)
