this movie sucked

sharei hope you're a woman, because if you're a man and you think that this movie sucks, then you better pull down your pants and check if you have a dick. this movie was everything that a red-blooded man could ask for. that's all i'm going to say.

Like what? A horrible script? Awkward, boring camera angles? An absolutely terrible, out-of-place soundtrack? A prison more sterile than surgical equipment? I'm a guy and I like to watch fighting or boxing oriented films just as much as anyone else. Undisputed was a definite exception. It was nearly as bad as Jean Claude Van Damme's recent movie "Derailed". Scene transition was another problem. If I saw that white-flash-fade cut one more time, I would go insane.
This movie was so bad that I had to turn it off about half way through. I was expecting a mean, gritty prison, with pushy, violent inmates. Instead, I get the Ritz-Carlton with bars. Lock Up and Shawshank Redemption both had far superior prisons.

Correct.
To the bonehead who claims this is a film for "red blooded men" I don't think I can possibly explain to you how wrong you are. I like the action movie as much as the next guy but this film just didn't do it for me.
There are plenty of movies out there for the average male viewer that pretty much put 'Undisputed' to shame. What a huge letdown of a film this was.

Bluntforcetrauma - you make some very good points, everything in the prison was wayyyyyyyy too hospital like for me, and the soundtrack, although good, was in the wrong places most of the time.
However, I really enjoyed what I saw. Despite the outcome being inevitable and using wooden cut outs of the actors producing better characters and acting, I wasn't offended by what I saw. Also I usually rate Ving Rhames and this was probably a big reason I liked it. Personally I dislike Wes Snipes wiht a passion but as he didn't speak too much, it made the film even better for me too!
I thought the design of the film was quite original (the maps overlaying the picture to show where the action was taking place, and even the fade out/flash things which someone didn't like) and it kept me interested.
I think expectation is the key. You see a 5.4 on the IMDb scale and you figure it'll be pretty good. It just wasn't what you wanted, and most of the others in this message board, but I say, to those who haven't seen it yet, give it a watch and see what you reckon. If you're looking for some entertainment that doesn't stretch your brain, go see it. Don't go in expecting award winning stuff, cos it just aint there.
GGGGGGGGGWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNN
Man you guys obviously never been to prison. Not all prisons are gritty like they are on the fantasy box called television.

Wow, you can't get any stupider than MK584.
"Better pull down your pants and chech if you have a dick,"
what the hell does that have to do with anything this movie offers. This movie had the worst acting i have ever seen. You say that this is a man's movie. How many times did the inmates say
"I don't want any trouble in here."
That just shows you how unviolent this prison was. None of the inmates ever wanted anything bad to go on. They wanted to keep their nice little prison the way it was.
Stop trying to prove how much of a MAN you are, your more of a fag than anything else for liking this crap.
Everything leading up to the fight may have not been that enjoyable but the fight was awesome. But its not worth a rental just to see it.
sharewell i know one thing i liked this movie better than those rocky movies idk to me this movie had more aggression in the fight scenes i like seeing that

I loved this movie.
It was a throw back to the gritty action movies
of the 70's. I agree that the prison seemed very
clean and tame but the boxing sequence(which made
up a good chunk of the films running time) was
incredible. Generally in films, the boxing seems
overly choreographed but this movie had an edge to
it that made each blow seem painful.
This movie is a disgrace to the whole boxing community, I almost fell of the couch when I realized that this is the work of Walter Hill at the end of the credits.

This movie was awesome. It had good acting, plot, and fight scenes. Definitely something worth watching.
shareThis movie was wicked, and if you didnt like it than you are a big sloppy pussy.
shareThis movie was awesome and the fight at the end was brutal. I'm not shocked if people don't like this movie though. You had two badass like Snipes & Rhames in boxing in prison. It didn't disappoint me, but some people have to realize that not every movie has to have a Benicio Del Toro, Daniel Day-Lewis or Denzel Washington Oscar Winning Performance. Not every film has to have a Rocky soundtrack or anything like that. It's an enjoyable film, take it or leave it. If you didn't like it or you thought it was bad, that's your opinion. You're entitled to it.
