Though most of the character development was directed towards Ving Rhames "Iceman" rather than Wesleys character, I really liked the way Wesley toned down/stripped down his character and made him come across as a real and believable character.

Yeah, I agree. He was still great in here, he felt like a real character.

Yeah it was a pretty low key but good performance. I wonder though if someone else instead of snipes played the role because just about everyone who watches this film would know about snipes and him being a badass. If like a unknown actor played the role then they would have had to build up the character more to be relatable. Just a thought.
