This is a stupid question
seeing as how this is a movie & not real but here goes. Do you think Iceman Chambers actually raped the girl?

I think he did. Considering how Iceman lost his temper quite a few times and even threatened a reporter who was interviewing him with violence, I'm sure Chambers has it in him to commit rape.
"We're all part Shatner/And part James Dean/Part Warren Oates/And Steven McQueen"
I don't think he did, mainly because when his lawyer said they could agree on a settlement with the girl who was suing him, he absolutely refused to do a deal, which i think an innocent man would do.
Paper... snow.... A GHOST!!
I don't think he did.
The way it felt to me was that the girl liked the attention and did things consentually with Iceman, but at some point, she got uncomfortable and didn't want to continue any further or regretted it after.
So she felt dirty/used afterward, and this made her feel like she was raped, even though she wasn't.
If she did not want to continue, but he did, then that is rape as it is defined in any case.
Since we are talking about the movie, not the real case, i do think he did rape her, Ving Rhames did not play Iceman very sympathetic, he was a calculating person using his fame and name to get ahead, even in prison. So yeah i can see that HE did not believe he did anything wrong, but i think he did, his ego just would not let him accept it.
Yeah, even though Iceman was a hot head. I really doubt that he 'raped' her espcially by the conversation he has when says to that woman she was enjoying it and also the fact that he absolutely refused to co-operate with the settlement so I don't think he did it.
"Whoo-ah"
I was curious about it myself.
On the one hand it did seem like he kept claiming he was innocent, but on the otherhand he felt like everyone should love him and any woman should be grateful to have sex with him.
There have been cases of rape, where the rapist actually thinks he is being romantic and loving to the woman he is raping.

I say he didn't. He has a hard edge and is very arrogant regarding his skills but he can back it up as a few well choreographed scenes showed. He wants respect and he gets it but i don't believe he could rape.
shareI am not sure to be honest but had I been on the jury my vote would be NOT guilty because I agree with the philosophy that it is better to let 10 guilty people go free than to make one innocent person suffer. If you are not sure of someone's guilt the ethically correct thing to do is vote not guilty and it is what I would have done. I personally feel that that woman was a low rent trashy slut not worthy of any respect and I feel zero sympathy towards her.
Anybody think Monroe got a bum rap? Life without parole is for FIRST degree murder. With 2nd degree murder you can be paroled after 20 years. Had his conviction been for 2nd degree he probably would have been paroled in 2012. There was no premeditation and it was a heat of the moment rage murder, classic 2nd degree.
A great plot device to get him out for some kind of sequel or spinoff could have been his lawyer successfully appealing the sentence and getting the conviction downgraded to 2nd degree murder.
