No Flying Clark Frustrating?

To others it was the most frustrating aspect of the whole series. It was like a four and a half season rule that went on for the entire series. It didn't help that the flying was taken up by other characters like Kara Zor EL.

Could've had it been like Jessica Jones can't fly very well.

I preferred the early eps, can't recall now but at some later point they all end up with super powers. All these super aliens arrive etc. It gets really stupid.

Reason they had super aliens arrive before his Superman days was to keep the show from getting stale when it went for more than five seasons.

Yeah to me it backfired. I actually liked the slow pace of the first few seasons. When everyone got powers it was just too much. My fave eps are the ones where he gets on the kryptonite that makes him go naughty. I think he teased Chloe a bit during one of those eps.

After high school the show should've had a big shake up but they couldn't get out of Clana and no flying. the suit doesn't make him fly or make him a hero, it felt like too much of a stretch of credibility for a pre Superman Clark to not fly while his other powers were developing and only fly when he suits up for the first time, even in the Lois & Clark pilot he had the ability to fly long before he had the suit what was wrong with that? SV didn't because for one they couldn't afford to do it every episode.

If the show ended after high school a time jump finale would've been the way to go, with Superman in the middle of the fortress and then fly away.

Gotham did have the same problem of villains appearing before the Batman years.
