And as a 17 year old white girl, I think it's a tad bit ridiculous that all the black kids look at me funny when I tell them that yes, I ctually know this movie and all the people in it.
I get the same looks when I tell them I listen to rap.

It was hilarious when I saw it the first time (and for time being the last)! It was perfect entertainment considering my state of mind at the time. A hard week behind me, late Friday evening, tired... this movie definitely uplifted me! One can bash it's unoriginality and stereotyping all day but the bottom line is it's funny.
Can't wait to see it for the second time around. Youtube has a few clips of it if I want to tease myself.
It goes both ways. I'm black and my freshmen year in high school this white girl was looking at this Rock CD(Foo Fighters - The Colour and The Shape. One my all time favorite albums)and I told her it was a great CD. She gave me a funny "How do you know" look and proceeded to test me on which track is which number, and I aced it.
