Job well done, Sir.
We have the watch.

I joined the Navy to see the world, only to discover the world is 2/3 water!

reply

Yup, Rip Basil Plumley.

Of note is that Galloway saying that Sam Elliot actually underplayed Plumley in the movie, he was even more grizzled in real life.

reply

Though Galloway spoke well of Plumley, I would be loathe to use Galloway's name in the same conversation as Plumley.
What spews from Galloway's pen today is little more than liberal filth worthy of Reid, Pelosi, or Rosie O'Donnel.

Liberal filth? You must be a real winner...on ignore.

reply

LMAO.. Ignored by a Liberal... That's rich. Now if we can only get them to ignore *beep* with our country.

Great job of supporting the 1
st amendment. I swore the oath to support and defend the Constitution. You have a right to your opinion, so does Galloway. But is this the forum for Either? RIP Sgt. Maj. Plumley.

reply

also as to Galloway's bona fides in 1998, Galloway received a Bronze Star with V for rescuing wounded soldiers under fire in the la Drang Valley of Vietnam in November, 1965. His was the only medal awarded to a civilian for valor during the Vietnam War. So the opinions of a peacetime sailor about the character of a decorated hero are about as valid as the opinions of a monkey about, well, anything.

reply

A damn shame a man like him had to die, his daughter said he fought in 3 wars not because he wanted to but because he felt he had to. Men like him keep my faith in humanity

reply

Not glad to hear the news but glad it was posted (so that I knew about him surviving the war and leading a successful life afterwards).
