Was Pleakley homosexual???

I hate it when I see the phrase "Gay undertone" written here in IMDB(especially in Disney movies),but this time I think I'm oblidged to become the "bad guy"!Except from the "wig" scene,I could almost swear I saw Pleakley dressed as a woman in some of the photographs during the very last scene..Did anyone else feel wrong about this character???

"You're just jealous cuz I'm pretty" makes me think he was more than just curious. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

"Yeah, but it's a DRY heat!" (Aliens, 1986)

I can't remember if it was stated if Pleakly's race has deep distinctions between genders. Mabey that's the way males act on his home planet.

Well... he's an alien. He could actually be hermaphrodite... or asexual, or even female!

Or maybe, that's the style of clothing males on his planet prefer!

homosexuality has nothing to do with being transgendered. You can dress up like the opposite sex and still like the opposite sex. For example a cross dressing man is still attracted to his wife. it isn't until he goes through a sex change does he then become a homosexual.

Keep in mind that the main point of them dressing like that was to "blend in". However, if we're asking about his sexuality...maybe bi curious or just transexual. I remember watching one episode with Experiment 254 and he was blasted off to Pleaky's planet which had both genders (male AND female).

Transexual is not a sexuality.

I think the whole thing with Pleakley dressing as an earth female was intended to show that even though he is an "earth expert" he really doesn't know very much about earth after all. Even after he realizes his mistake, I think he keeps the style because he finds it suits him and makes him look good. I don't really think it has much to do with his sexual orientation as he never really shows particular interest in dating men or women.
It is later revealed on the tv series that his real name is Wendy, so I think we're supposed to understand that there are not as many definitive characteristics for either gender on his home planet. Just my take on it.

To the OT:

1) No, I don't feel wrong about male characters cross-dressing and neithe did any of the kids watching the movie.

2) What's crossdessing got to do with homosexuals. I know many gay men who would kick your teeth in for that suggestion.
