Jumba's Ex-Wife
Has anyone noticed how much Jumba mentions his ex-wife, directly or indirectly?
Some examples
1)Spooky: Jumba says that Spooky's imitation of his ex-wife, which we later see, is very scary.
2)Tank: Pleakly gets Jumba into the Henry VIII costume, commenting that the English king had beheaded his wives, leading Jumba to announce that 'I am liking this Henry person'. (He may not have mentioned his ex-wife straight out, but saying something like that seems to imply a low opinion on wives)
3)Nosy: At one point, Nosy mentions something about Jumba keeping love letters. My question is, who wrote these infamous letters? Could they be ones his ex-wife wrote him before they got married?
4)Future Jumba instructs Present Jumba to never build a robot wife. This is another example of him holding a low opinion on wives, but it's more interesting than that, because this also implies that he'd consider building a robot wife, a strange undertaking for someone who dislikes the idea of wives.
5)Spike: Jumba comments on how a lamprey at the aquarium reminds him of his ex-wife before the face lift.
6)Swapper: Jumba recalls the time when Swapper switched his brain with that of his ex-wife.
7)Slick: Jumba again relates a story about his ex-wife's run-ins with his experiemnts, and reveals that Slick once sold her for ten Kweltikwans, even though 'she was only worth five'
I think this is something rather interesting to note, because whenever he brings her up, it's to make some joke/insult at her expense. But if he disliked her that much, wouldn't he try not to mention her at all? I can't help but think that he really did care about her, and regrets that it didn't work out between them, so he verbally places her on a low pedestal in an attempt to delude himself and make himself really believe what he's saying.
Anyone have any opinions on this?
