A joke I didn't get.

There's a part in the movie where Stitch is tearing up Lilo's room, then Lilo places a lei around his neck that makes him calm down. As funny as it was, I didn't get the joke. Was there something special in those flowers that made him calm down or something?

Sorry, but I don't have a specific answer to your question. I didn't got the joke as well, so I found it quite weird.

I don't know, but my guess is that he was never given anything before and it made him think. Possibly made him wonder if there was more than fighting and destroying that this object represented. We learn later that he wanted to know were he came from and who he belonged to. Who his family was. This may have been the start of that longing coming to the surface.

There's no joke to get. The strangeness of such a gesture distracted him. The humor is derived from the fact that he stopped so suddenly.

The only one here who seems to understand is chatician. It had nothing to do with morals and conscience, it was simply the oddness of her suddenly putting something around his neck. He considered. Then just dropped. It was part humor, and, after a fashion, part realistic. I seem to recall similar events in my life.

He fights against things and people, he has no notion of what to do when someone isn't fighting him back or trying to restrain him.
