I think Nicholas Sparks is a terrible author

No, she's a cartoon.

Other than that, no, not at all. She is just struck with grief over the loss of her parents.
I'm so annoyed that people want to label troubled and/or energetic kids with ADD. It's the easy way out if you ask me.
