All I can say is it works on my computer. I have a Compaq Presario laptop V2405US (Wal-Mart’s cheapest a few years back). I am running XP Home SP3 and have the latest version of Windows Media Player. I first open Windows Media Player then put in the DVD disc. I have never had to make any software changes to my computer or my DVD ROM drive to play any DVDs USA or abroad. Just make sure you have the latest version of Windows Media Player and have it opened before you insert you DVD.
I live in the USA and have never had any problems playing The Tribe, Spellbinder 1 & 2, Ocean Girl 1 & 2, Thunderstone, Skytrackers and a few more I cant think of off the top of my head.
There’s no way I can guarantee your computer will do the same.
Just in case you were wandering all my DVDs are 100% legitimate studio releases. I buy them online at either http://www.amazon.co.uk in the UK or http://chaos.com/ in Australia. Both of these online stores have no problem shipping to USA customers. Chaos will even let you pay using Paypal. I have never had a problem ordering from either company.
I hope this answers some of your questions and I wish you the best of luck playing these DVDs in your computer.
