I've only watched the first series, but at the beginning, when Lex first appears, he seems to have blue-grey eyes ... and yet watching now he seems to have very dark almost black eyes.
Anyone else noticed this? An explanation?

I noticed that too. Caleb Ross wore contact lenses when playing Lex. I figured he wore coloured ones in the first season and changed 'em to clear ones later on.
"Why are you wearing glasses?"
"Uh, reading."
"Hm. Didn't know you could read."
