Now in USA DVD format!

You asked for it so here it is.

The Tribe: Series 1, Part 1 in NTSC Region 1 format (USA).

Rejoice for American fans of The Tribe! The series is finally given an official Region 1 DVD release! Though it's only half of series 1… it's a start.

It has an estimated release date of March 13, 2012. Amazon is now taking preorders of the DVD set. The Amazon price is $20.99.

The original region 2 PAL format had 7 DVD discs of 52 X 24 minute episodes.
This new region 1 NTSC format has 4 DVD discs with an estimated run time of 600 minutes. Based in the run time I am guessing it contains the first 25 episodes.

I just got it, yay! Can't wait to see the beginning as I never got to see it. One of the good things about everything being in reruns now I have something to watch.

Well, it's been over a year since Season 1 Part 2 was released. I guess we can assume that they didn't sell well enough for season 2 onward to be released in North America.

It's funny, season 1 has now had 3 separate releases, while the other seasons have each one had one.
