I have seen some of the movies that G4 is showing and it appears that G4's Movies That Do Not Suck seems to be the new USA UP ALL NIGHT! I noticed that they do have a host but he does not do as good of a job like what Gilbert Gottfried, Rhonda Shear, and Caroline Schlitt did when they all hosted USA UP ALL NIGHT.
I think G4 needs to get a lot of the movies that USA UP ALL NIGHT use to show and they will win me over as a fan to watch those movies that they air on Friday, Saturday, and Tuesday nights.
You are very dumb and very pathetic.....G4 movies that don't suck has nothing to do with UAN and I have watched it many times with movies like, Fight Club, The Terminator and it didn't have a host.........
Have you ever thought about seeing a head Dr...I think your friggin nuts living in some kind of nutty fantasy world....You are stuck in the past dude and need to seek help....What the hell kind of life do you lead? What do you do for a living? I think you are psycho...........
No, Rob is right. Movies That Do Not Suck is the worthy successor to Up All Night. Yeah, its on a different network, has a different name, theres no host, and they show mainstream films rather than B movies, but otherwise its exactly the same. So he can stop spamming now. His crusade has proven successful.
They do show some B movies but not all of the B movies that I loved that USA UP ALL NIGHT showed. They need to add some good cult classic B movies and the exact same recipe that USA UP ALL NIGHT had and I think it would be very successful.
Yeah you sound like a psycho all right. Some of the movies like Gremilins, Toxic Avenger movies, Sgt. Kabokiman are all movies that USA UP ALL NIGHT use to show. All I am saying is that G4 does show some of the movies but not all of them that I loved to watch back when USA Network was a lot cooler back in the day.
Nothing wrong with enjoying things from the past guy. I am perfectly sane.
I've got to check out G4 on my satellite because I never knew they had any programs worth watching. Yeah, I also hope they grab a lot of those great b-movies UAN had on like "Jocks" and "H.O.T.S.". My favorite one of all is "Cavegirl". Right now I stream some of these b-movies on Netflix, but many are not available there. --UPDATE-- I just scanned the G4 website for the MTDS schedule and it looks like most of those movies are crap. "Half Baked"? Come on, that doesn't even compare to "Stewardess School". I agree with what one reviewer said, that a classic channel would work! They could have on all the great USA Network programs from the 80's and 90's and in their original time slots. Plus, maybe add in some new stuff that follows the pattern. I love that idea.
COOL That you are going to check out G4 on your satelite. Sometimes they do have some programs worth watching like the late night movies. I caught this about a year ago when they were showing G4 for free for a month. They had like Toxic Avenger movies on there and a few other Tramaville movies that USA UP ALL NIGHT showed. I loved watching Jocks and H.O.T.S. was a very good movie to watch! Another favorite that I have not seen in ages is Preppies. That was a classic from the 80's! Yeah Cavegirl was one of my favorites as well once I saw the main actress in the movie and she was hot too! Yeah I have done that myself is rented a few movies from Netflix as well but like you said they do not have all of them because a lot of the movies either did not get printed for VHS tapes because they were made for USA Network who wanted movies like that, Then they did come out on VHS but never converted over to DVD, and slowly they are coming out on DVD but Netflix has not picked them up yet for some reason I do not know why though.
Half Baked is not a very good movie in my opinione and thanks for the update! No it does not compare to Stewardess School at all! Yes a classical channel would work or possibly creating The B movie Network! That would definately work to be honest with you about that. Yes that would be great if they had all of the great USA Network programming from the 80's and 90's. Yes the original time slots would be great to see them in! Yes some new things would work to follow the pattern. I love the idea as well.
Oh yeah, I remember "Preppies". I first saw that one on The Movie Channel in the 80's. I remember thinking how I probably wouldn't like a movie about preppies, but I did! It was actually produced by the Playboy Channel. A similar movie I like is "Weekend Pass". Ever see that one? I think UAN had that one on too. The Troma movies are pretty bad, so they fit in perfectly with UAN. Yes, they do need to set aside a channel for b-movie fans, no doubt. I'd be watching it all the time.
That is cool that you remembered Preppies from back in the 80's watching The Movie Channel. I first saw that back in the 80's. My sister had a slumber party for her birthday and one of the girls older sister suggested it for movies to watch. Well I was a preppy in junior high and high school so I liked the concept of the movie. I did not know that it was actually produced by the Playboy Channel. That is very interesting. Thanks for letting me know about that! I do remember watching "Weekend Pass" on UAN as well. I even remember back in the 80's when they were showing that at the movie theaters. I remember seeing the previews on TV for it. That was back when they would show anything at a movie theater but not today anymore though. Yes UAN did show that.
I sort of liked the Troma movies and they did firt perfectly for USA UP ALL NIGHT!
If I had the money I would create a network like that and I would make darn sure that NBC would not get their hands on that network at all or any other network that would destroy the concept of a B Movie Channel. I would watch it all of the time. My ideas on it would have every B movie that was ever created including horror movies as well. I would have SCREAM QUEENS and other B movie greats host like marathons of B movies. What do you think about that?
That sounds like an excellent concept. We really do need a b-movie channel and maybe call it "B-TV" or something along that order. Yeah, major networks like NBC should have nothing to do with it because they would obviously destroy it's appeal like they did with Chiller and SyFy. If someone like yourself were managing it, I'm sure the channel would be great. I'm sure there are plenty of individuals who would make terrific hosts. The channel could have all the classic UAN episodes alongside new episodes. There are a lot of new b-movies on Netflix and the new UAN hosts could introduce them. A movie like "Thankskilling" would be perfect for starters. If you haven't seen this movie, check it out. It's quite funny. Perhaps some of the actors in these movies could be the hosts. I'm just brainstorming :) So many great possibilities for a B-movie channel. I think it's long overdue.
That is what I think would work for B movie lovers like ourselves and many of other people out there who does not know that I am trying to get USA UP ALL NIGHT back on once again. Yes that is what we really need is a B movie Channel. Hey that is a great name for the channel B-TV! Yes it should be something in that order. I agree that major networks like NBC should not have anything to do with the programming because they have obviously destroyed channels like Chiller and SyFy. I would love to manage a network like that if someone would allow me to be the program director. I would want to make sure everyone is happy. Plus, I would not mind a network that does not edit out anything from the films. Yes a channel like that would be great to see on cable. I agree that there would be plenty of individuals who would make fantastic hosts! Yes that would be great to see the classic USA UP ALL NIGHT episodes along with new episodes as well. Now here is a fantastic idea that I have mentioned that could be done ok.
Let's say Rhonda Shear would like to retire from hosting USA UP ALL NIGHT. If USA Network brought back USA UP ALL NIGHT then Rhonda Shear would be one of the judges and we could create a reality show for the next host of USA UP ALL NIGHT that has the same potential and passion like Rhonda did for USA UP ALL NIGHT and movies that they showed. What do you think about that? That is what I am saying is there is a lot of brand new B movies that could be shown and like you said there are possibly new people that could host USA UP ALL NIGHT. I will have to rent that movie to watch it. Yes there are so many ideas for a B-Movie Channel! It should be done!
