Why was 'Knuckles' in the original title...?

As in "Punch-Drunk Knuckle Love"?
I just noticed this on a third viewing: when Barry is in his office and just gets off the phone with Healthy Choice saying he has to wait 6 to 8 weeks to redeem the frequent flyer miles, he gets angry and punches the wall...when he lays his hands on the harmonium, you can see the cuts on his knuckles spell out "L-O-V-E."
