Yet, Lena does admit those herself. So that makes things less sinister. I am just curious as to, why?
By my own guess, the film seems to intentionally make Emily Watson appear old and less attractive. Plus the stalking tendencies, she is just as flawed as Berry. I bet she is a very clingy person and scared away her past relationships. Lena wants to give attention while Berry wants someone to want him. Therefore making her and Berry the perfectly flawed dysfunctional couple.
