Most annoying soundtrack ever!! Why!!!!

I don't get it!! It would be more fitting for something like High Anxiety the spoof by Mel Brooks. Wow!! Find the most annoying music and play it during as many scenes as possible. The same noise.

Totally agree. I did not even finished it.

It's a fantastic soundtrack for calling forth what the Sandler character is feeling internally. Here's a great column about it: www.newmusicbox.org/articles/View-From-the-East-PunchDrunk-Column/.

I hated it at first as well but it has a purpose. It shows the stress that he's trying to repress. By the end of the movie, the soundtrack is clear and calm. The first act of the movie should make you very uncomfortable.

I felt very irritated and keyed-up by the music. But that was the point. It was inaudible voices mixed with strange mechanical type sounds that were supposed to make you feel like you were going crazy with him.

Also, can anyone explain the blue lines that would go across the screen in some scenes? I'm sure they were supposed to be symbolic of something...but what?
